ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ has been awarded a place on for both Climate Change and Water Security, achieving a rare double ‘A’ score. Being on the ‘A List’ places ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ among the top 4% of companies worldwide assessed by CDP for environmental transparency and performance.
An ‘A’ score represents CDP’s highest level of recognition, awarded only to organisations demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of their environmental impacts and taking robust, science aligned action to address them. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ is the only UK homebuilder to receive an ‘A’ rating in both categories, underlining the strength of its environmental strategy and long-term commitment to sustainability.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ continues to play an active role in addressing the global climate emergency. The company has already exceeded its original science based target for scopes 1 and 2, achieving a 77% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions since 2019. Building on this progress, ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ secured validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2025 for new near term targets to 2034 and a net zero goal for 2045. These targets maintain alignment with a 1.5°C pathway and are the first by a UK homebuilder to have met the SBTi’s Buildings sector criteria.
ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½’s approach is grounded in data, collaboration and continuous improvement. Key achievements include:
- Completing more than 60 embodied carbon assessments across a wide range of building typologies, providing critical insights to reduce emissions through design and procurement.
- Working closely with material suppliers and manufacturers to support reductions in value chain emissions.
- Reducing total water withdrawals across sites, offices and sales activities by 9% in 2025 compared with the previous year.
- Delivering homes with an average internal water efficiency of 102.2 litres per person per day in 2025 - a 15% improvement on building regulation requirements.
ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ has also recently achieved several other notable sustainability accolades including:
- Ranked as the highest performing UK homebuilder in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which evaluates companies across a broad range of environmental, social and economic criteria.
- Recognised by Morningstar Sustainalytics as an ‘Industry Leader’ in its Low Carbon Transition Rating (LCTR), assessing preparedness for a transition aligned with the Paris Agreement.
